Miriam knew of Virginia Lynch because of the Virginia Lynch Gallery at Tiverton Four Corners and Virginia's association with the museum at RISD. She was introduced to Virginia through her friend Eliza Moore.
Much like Molly Luce, Hazard Durfee and Eric Dennard, her relationship with Virginia started well before the official gallery opened. Miriam was well represented in the small summer exhibitions Virginia would organize at the Stone House in Little Compton, and Mill Pond Shops in Tiverton Four Corners in the early 1980s.

Once Virginia Lynch Gallery was established, Miriam was invited her to include pieces of her work.

Miriam always felt that Virginia's gallery was a destination point for seeing the work of interesting contemporary artists.
